Ugly shoes

For my niece's baptism, I found out that neither parents nor grandparents had time to find some appropriate shoes so I took it upon myself to find a nifty little pair. Well this turned out to be quite a challenge. Unfortunately, even kids shoes are overpriced. In the end I settled for a cheap pair of silver slippers with little bows on them. The bows were awfully shabby so I cut them off and used the holes left in the shoe to sew in some pearly beads that I had in my collection. Big improvement.
Sadly they were too big for her little feet on this occasion, but now she has dancing shoes for her big cousin's wedding this summer.
